At whatever age a diagnosis of cancer can be an extremely devastating experience for most people and can also have a lasting effect, not just for the person with the illness but also their family and close friends. In Rhondda Cynon Taff and the surrounding area the medical services that treat cancer are supplemented by the services of Rowan Tree Cancer Care. These  services include free transport for cancer-related hospital appointments, complementary therapies such as aromatherapy (at a small charge) art therapy, counselling and wig fitting. The Charity also offers people affected by cancer an opportunity to meet other people who have also been affected by cancer, so that they can learn from one another and be strengthened by each other’s experiences. 

Rowan Tree Cancer Care Head Office and Centre is located on Commercial Street, Mountain Ash. Here we carry out the administration for the Charity, organise the transport for patients, house the therapy rooms and on the third floor are the self contained apartments.

There are also two town centre charity shops, one in Oxford Street,  Mountain Ash and one in Commercial Street,  Aberdare.
